Thanks everyone who voted for the Illinois Jaycees. We took 3rd place and will win $5,000.00 in technology upgrades for the service center.

IT'S A GIRL !!

Congratulations to Pres. Brian Wuebbles and his wife Lynn. They are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl. Her name is Madelyn Rae and she was born on Aug 22, 2008.

Can you help Camp New Hope raise an extra $10,000.00???

Marcia Schlarmann, 2008 Camp New Hope State Chairman, sent out a message that WE can help CNH raise an extra $10,000.00. Tony Colletti has come up with a match grant for Camp New Hope. That means that for every dollar we as Illinois Jaycees raise from now till the end of the year will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000.00.

Marcia says " That is just 21 more campers in the next 6 months. If we work together I know we can accomplish this. This is free money for a GREAT CAUSE."

Camp New Hope is a camp for handicapped people. It is a great asset. I personally hope you will help take advantage of this extra money. If you could send just one extra camper this year not only will the camp benefit, but your community as well.

SPOTLIGHTED Project: Gateway Picnic : It was sure good to see Garry Roux (& Shelly) out. Garry is doing great. He has lost some weight and says he feels GREAT!.. Below Garry is pictured with Peter Coppens.

2008! Well, with a theme of Gateway gone Wild, I can only image what kind of year the Gateway is going to have.

Remember this website belongs to the members of the Gateway Region. It is only as good as the information that is sent in. I encourage you to send photos, updates, fliers, etc. to me. There can never be enough information given out.
